A validated approach to measuring the severity of psoriasis. The system, called the Lattice System - Physician's Global Assessment (LS-PGA, pat. pend.), is easy to use in clinical trials. Only four boxes must be checked by the physician to derive the overall final score. For single target lesions, use the LS- Target PGA.
The score meets regulatory requirements: static score with intuitive results, eg, clear, severe.
LS-PGA has been validated twice: Langley and Ellis, J Am Acad Dermatol, Oct 2004, http://www.eblue.org ; and Berth-Jones, Br J Dermatol.
The LS-PGA system may be accompanied by an optional booklet showing photo examples for rating psoriasis. A browser-based LS-PGA calculator is available.
An in-office LS-PGA is also available for post-marketing studies.
